lan Willcock

lan Willcock was born in 1959 and studied with David Lumsdame at Kings College, London. In 1985, he co-founded the ensemble Collective Title , based in London, with composer Howard Haigh. His pieces have been performed and broadcast throughout Europe, particularly in Germany and the Netherlands, and he has received many intemational prizes and scholarships including, in 1992, a nine month residency at the Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart. His A Catalogue of Targets, commissioned and first performed by Ensemble Recherche in January 1997, attracted a highly favourable critical response. Several of his pieces are published and his work has recently started to become available on commercial recordings, He is co-director of the London-based ensemble Reservoir.
