Lars Bröndum

Lars Bröndum is a composer, performer of live-electronics and a guitarist. He was awarded a Ph.D. in composition & theory from the University of Pittsburgh. He has performed throughout Sweden and in Scotland, England, USA, Spain and Mexico. His music has been broadcasted on the radio in Germany, USA and Sweden and has released six CDs with the ensembles ReSurge and ExSurge. Bröndum is the founder of the independent record label MuArk and currently teaches music theory and electronic music at Rytmus in Stockholm, Sweden. He is an active composer at EMS (Institute for Electroacoustic Music in Sweden) and a member in the new music & intermedia art society Fylkingen and FST (Swedish Composer’s Society). He is a member of the ensembles ReSurge and ExSurge as composer, live-electronicist and guitarist. He has received composer grants from Konstnärsnämnden (Swedish Art Council), STIM (Swedish Performing Rights Society) and awards from FST.
