Katerina Foti

Katerina Foti is a contemporary dancer from Greece. She lives in Athens and was born in Volos in 1986. She studied dance at “Rallou Manou Professional Dance School” and she has attended lots of seminars during the last years with teachers from all around Europe : Linda Kapetanea and Josef Frucek (Fighting Monkey Practice), Damien Jalet, Peter Jasko (Les Slovaks Dance Collective), Lali Ayguade Farro and Konstantina Efthimiadou (Akram Khan Dance Company), Patricia Apergi (Aerites Dance Company), Rakesh Sukesh and with plenty of other Greek teachers. She has participated to performances and festivals, such as Arc for Dance Festival-International Dance festival based in Athens, where she participated as resident artist, under the supervision of Patricia Apergi, a Greek choreographer with lots of participations to European festivals. There, she presented her first choreography Depth Pulses, which is a work in progress and she still works on that choreography, in order to complete the research and participate to festivals abroad. As a performer, she is going to participate in two productions for the upcoming year, Arsi/thesi, which will be presented in Prague, in Jarmila Novotna Festival and Vortex, which will be presented in Athens in 2016. She also teaches contemporary dance to amateurs and adults from 2013.
